Duncanville High School Alumni Association

For decades, the alumni association concept has been successfully used as a vehicle to maintain communication and socialization with individuals who shared common learning experiences during a time of life when great personal and social development took place.

Private secondary schools and public and private colleges and universities have relied on their former graduates for continued support in a variety of ways. Since the early development of public school foundations in the late 1970s, the public high school alumni association has become an exciting and innovative way to keep alumni involved in their former schools.

As is true around the world, the face of schools and education continues to change. Duncanville High School is no exception. While the school may be quite different today from the memory former graduates hold, most Duncanville students are instilled with a sense of pride and school spirit unmatched by many schools. DHS alumni remember an outstanding education, abundant extracurricular resources, winning athletic teams and a community that revolved around its high school and its students.

For this reason, the current Duncanville High School Alumni Association hopes this web site will offer this resource to DHS graduates. The group sees it as a beneficial tool for those wishing to find their peers, plan class reunions and stay in touch with an important part of their past.

The alumni association currently meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Fire Station on Main Street. Newcomers are invited to join the group or simply to share ideas with the Alumni Association. The group’s goal is to continue to support the Duncanville school system through volunteer efforts, while bringing together alumni in a sense of fellowship and fun. The group articipates in various community activities and special events throughout the year, and would like to increase its membership base to become a visible entity in the city of Duncanville.
